A Royal View

In need of fresh air and exercise, I headed over to the "Royal Landscape", aka Windsor Great Park.  As I drove through the park I noticed Red Kites flying, so stopping at one of the few car park open for the winter, grabbed the "big camera and lens" and took a short walk back along the cycle track next to the road.  Of course, birds being birds they were no longer there!

Walking a bit further I found some good views over the park to Windsor Castle - by which time I had got "into my stride", so kept walking!

Turning round after about an hour I finally had a better sighting of a pair of Red Kites, this being the best of a not too brilliant bunch ... but I enjoyed the walk and views over the park!
