Winter Fungi

I met a friend for brunch, and then we went for a walk over Downs Bank near Barlaston. It's owned by the National Trust, and is described as "A little wilderness of woodlands and heath in the heart of the Midlands".

From the highest point you can see The Long Mynd and Mow Cop Castle, both also owned by the National Trust. You can also see the Wrekin and the monument at Trentham Gardens.

It was blowing a hoolie on the top, so I've opted for a shot of fungus where it was a little calmer in the valley bottom near the stream.
