We are having a "warm before the storm" today. The temps are in the 60s F, but snow is in the forecast for Monday. And apparently the birds know what is coming, because they have been mobbing my feeder!
I believe this is a Downy Woodpecker from the diminutive size of the bill (as opposed to a Hairy Woodpecker). But I do know that it is a male from the red patch on his head!
