Jenny & Her Sister

Visiting my aunt at her new abode on the waterfront near the Hobart Casino. The title a nod to my father, who on observing my mother emerge from the Ulverstone railway station to take up a teaching position in 1961, remarked to himself “If that’s not Jenny’s sister, I’ll be damned”.

He always did have a penchant for redheads, although there are only minor traces of the auburn left, curling at the nape of their necks.

This photo attempts to capture their complex relationship.
