Drenched

We arrived in Arbroath today in brilliant sunshine. After a snack at the the Old Boatyard cafe we took a walk along the sea front.

On the way we stopped at the small museum in the old Signal Tower shown in the picture. Quite interesting, mostly about the Bell Rock lighthouse. I would have liked to go up the tower but unfortunately it is closed.

Continuing our walk we noticed the clouds coming in from the west, and the rainbow which can just about be seen in the photograph. Undaunted we continued our walk until we felt the first few drops of water falling from the clouds.

The few drops turned quickly into heavy rain. By this time we were a long way from where we had left the car. By the time we got back to the shelter of the car we were drenched. The rain hat soaked through my coat, trousers and shoes. It was a damp return to Aberdeen, though by this time it had stopped raining, but the damage was done.
