Grape hyacinths

It's really warm and spring-like again today and I went for a reasonably lengthy local walk without my stick and ventured as far as the edge of the hillside, where I found the grape hyacinths - earlier than usual I think. I've started using my Nikon DSLR again for the first time for ages and was experimenting with the twisting screen which enabled me to take this photo without bending down too much. Thanks Domestic Goddess for reminding me of this feature in our snowdrops comment exchange!
In the evening I went with some friends to the live screening of the Metropolitan Opera's production of 'Porgy and Bess' - which was really excellent.
