Braving the Elements

We had a rendezvous in Helmsley this morning. So with that in mind decided to take Jet out for a walk at Sutton Bank. This consisted of a rather damp and misty walk through the woods. However the temperature was mild and in decent waterproofs it was good to get out.

By the time we finished Jet had a tide mark of mud underneath which was met with damp fur from the rain. Good job we keep an old bath towel in the car. We met a family with young children two of whom wanted to hold Jets lead and take him for a short walk. He happily obliged and the children loved the idea of taking him for a walk.

Glad we made the effort but equally glad to be back indoors in the warmth with a hot cuppa!

Can you spot the lions face Richard spotted on this tree. Have tagged this for derelict Sunday. Question.....can a tree be described as derelict if not the ruined wall behind covered in moss may have to do!
