Coat Hook (EB)

Sorry - another diary blip - but possibly the last one :-)

We have been decorating our hall and stairs so the new carpet can be fitted later this month,  just the hand rail to go now and that need not prevent the carpet fitting so the time constraints are off.

This will be the near penultimate part of the house to be sorted out since we moved in in October 2016!
The house was ex-rental, but not in a bad state - it just needed:
the soffits, guttering, weatherboarding and roof verges renovating,
new windows and external doors,
a new kitchen,
boiler rebuilt with smart controls,
cavity wall insulation,
loft boarding,
new floor coverings,
internal painting,
new internal doors downstairs,
and  TLC
the last remaining things to do are the upstairs internal doors and the stair carpet :-)

My blip is of one of the new coat hooks in the hall, replacing a collection of different types, of which there were far too many meaning it was difficult to get to the curtain.  Gill has made a new blind (in the extra) for the window and is keen to retain easy access to open and close it.

We did manage to stop for long enough to see the new France rugby team demonstrate the notion of making your own luck by having a go forward attitude.   Nigel Owens refereeing, Paul O'Connell and Brian Moore commentating - rugby heaven - unless you think England are supposed to win :-)

Gill is working on her family tree - no axe murders yet but we do now have a reason to cheer for Ireland in the six nations
I have some Welsh history in my family so we should be ok!
