With a touch of colour provided by the red on the sail of this yacht.


It has been another hot day and another visit to Motueka Beach for a cooling swim. While there this lone yacht was tacking up and down between the beach and the sandspit - the narrow piece of land in the distance. Beyond is Tasman Bay.



Yesterday’s red sun was hidden within minutes of me taking the photo. The smoke haze was thick and no spectacular sunset eventuated.
A really special thank you for the many comments, stars and hearts for this unusual sun - the silhouette was a tiny piece of twig on our apricot tree.


It’s been a busy evening with two meetings so I will catch up with your journals tomorrow.
