Sledging Angels

The Angel of the North is quite something close up, it sits on a hill in Gateshead overlooking the traffic and trains. Today the hill had become a sledging mecca for local kids! We stopped on our way from York to Edinburgh, unfortunately without a sledge.

There's an amber weather warning tonight, with a bit of luck there will be significant snow fall which will form a layer of insulation on next doors roof works. They're having a new flat roof but the gaps left in the meantime make our flat baltic, I just keep reminding myself of the tropical beach in Port Douglas!
