Farm Library

These are the farm children Victor, Victoria, Minus and Hope with their cousins. It is common for a family who have good jobs to be sent the children of relatives who have lost their parents through AIDS, by the chief.
Here we see the library on Lusangazi Farm with books and games. Robert teaches everyone literacy and numeracy in his spare time, when he has any.

The farm never rests, even on Sundays. Benidicto is seen here with a group of visitors who have come to see what we are doing. The are treading on the sunnhemp while looking at one of our nine varieties of beans. We are researching African, Open Pollinated bean varieties to see which works best for us. (We us no Genetically Modified Seeds here!!!!). We want Malawians to live, if we can!!

Hi John
Today at 3 pm it was an interested day because we had the vistors from England. Their names are Heather Kinsey, Brooks Camp and Mepaa Walker.
In Malawi they working together with the Catholic mission. Their aim is to encourage farmers to start practicing organic farming in Central and Northeren regions of Malawi. After the visit, they said that Lusangazi Sustainable farm is the only educational place in Malawi for teaching organic farming. They told me that in mid February they will bring their fellow farmers from Rumphi district (Northern Malawi) to learn more about organic farming. Amazing with all the AID money that's being dumped in Malawi

Thanks
Robert
