High Pressure Monday

I had my Leistungsbeurteilungsgespräch (annual appraisal) at work today.  A meeting that took place at 8:30.  On a Monday morning.  That's quite a lot of pressure.  Mondays and I are not friends.

But it is Germany and things are different here.  It's not 90 minutes of belittling your performance and then telling you you have to more self confidence*.  Here it's about actually valuing my contribution.  And I walked out of the meeting feeling 3 Meters (10 feet) tall.

The rest of the day was spent analysing a really weird problem (and finally fixing it).  I can't think that automatically setting up DDIOs for BTEST in CICS is one of those things I need to elaborate on, so we'll go back to my default description of my day at work. It was fine.

Good walk with my chum B after work and now home.

*This was actually every year at the company I used to work for. What was I supposed to do? I should think that I'm the Best of The Idiots?
