Drying in the Wind

It had been such a good day....

Stuff done, wee walk along the coast. And then in the supermarket car park to collect the week's shopping and someone reverses their SUV out of a space into the side of our car. I pulled in and inspected the damage (some scrapes, and a rippled rear 3/4 panel, as well as bent wheel arch - could have been worse), and after he disclaimed all liability (apparently I should have seen him reversing, while the fact the impact was 3/4s of the way down my car strongly suggests that he should have seen the first 3/4s in his mirrors before reversing), we exchanged details.

More a hassle than anything else. Insurance company is on the case.

Update: I got a call the following day, a message left from his insurance, saying they wanted to take care of all repairs. i.e. they'd spoken to their customer, and realised it was his fault. My insurance have suggested it's best to let them carry on with it (in case anything goes wrong, etc etc), and as I've got protected no-claims it makes sense not to get personally involved. So definitely just hassle more than anything else, though the suspension on that side has started creaking on speed bumps...
