New glass!

True to his word, the garage mechanic ordered the part for the van brakes, fitted it, and had us back on the road that evening.

We had a last walk with the dogs, a relaxed evening with Shelagh and then set off northwards first thing in the morning.

Plenty of snow around Newtonmore but we got up to the ferry with plenty of time to spare. Antlers Café in Newtonmore deserves a mention for its excellent black pudding and poached egg on a potato scone! Just the thing for a wintery journey!  Wonderful huge radiators on the walls too. Left feeling warm inside and out!

While we were away we picked up a parcel of stained glass supplies. Having the box delivered to Orkney costs £11 more than it being delivered to a Scottish mainland address.

Angela and I were like kids at Christmas as we opened our orders! I can't wait to get started, it is almost as addictive as knitting!
