12 Arch Bridge

Actually it's a viaduct opened in 1886 as part of the Skibbereen to Schull railway and was closed by 1946. The viaduct took the train across Roaringwater Bay. The aptly named Roaringwater Journal has the history covered plus some early photos. It was a very tiny train! Today it's part of a scenic amble around the village.
I was there for my Irish lesson, today we were discussing the forthcoming general election!! As you can see the sun was shining. A lovely day.
Arthouse and chips shortly. Tonight's film looks pretty good - Corpus Christi. Polish. I'll report back.
Edit: a bit of dithering, just changed the images around on Hettycat's advice! Sadly it's not wide wednesday.
