Hide and Seek

Today a small number of our local RSPB group were on the search for Hawfinches. These are usually common in my area of Sussex this time of year but for some reason they haven't moved south in numbers and we were unsuccessful. It is obviously not cold enough in the north of the UK yet. On the plus side I added 4 birds to my 2020 list taking it to 91

2020 birds added
Coal Tit
Marsh Tit
Redwing
Goldcrest

The photo is of a Coal Tit which played hide and seek with us making it hard to photograph. The small insert clearly shows the white stripe on the top of it's head which helps distinguish it from the Marsh Tit.
