Through the Trees.....

We have had a much cooler day... such a relief after very hot weather. Alas no rain for Blenheim. I walked Maisie very early, along the paths through mown stretches of grass beside the river. We are trying to avoid long dry grasses and the risk of Maisie picking up dry grass seeds in her coat and feet. Keith is feeling a little better and is so pleased to be home from hospital.
Late morning I drove to Picton to the Interislander Ferry Terminal. There I met Keith’s great-niece, Jo from Surrey, England. She is a beautiful young woman, who is touring New Zealand for eight weeks. We spent time looking around Picton. This is a view through trees towards the foreshore and Queen Charlotte Sound., a pretty place despite the cloudy day.
