Was It Really So Long Ago

Layered

It is good to see the old crafts being practiced locally. Hedge laying is labour intensive and therefore expensive (about 25m per day is a good rate). So it has fallen out of favour.

Yesterday's gate was finished today, whilst the kids played creatively in the snow. You wouldn't expect it, but a 4ft plastic slide, makes a very good sledge!

We've had very little snow fall over the weekend, in spite of the forecast promising heavy fall for most of it. Only this afternoon have the heavens really opened. We'll have to keep an eye on the roads for the morning.

More woodworking was done this afternoon too, but all that was over by 3pm, when the joint of beef needed throwing in the oven with some spuds and yorkshires. The family is now happily replete, youngsters in bed and call the midwife is about to start apparently.

Have a great week all.
