Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque

Everything about this mosque is bigger and better than anything similar.  It is huge and built to a very high standard - no expense spared,  It was hot there with very little shade outside of the building and heaving with tourists - photography was relatively freely allowed and the security guards usually didn't fuss much if our feet strayed a little too far in the wrong direction.  We went on to the Marina Mall where I bought a local sim card for my phone and had a meal.  Onward then to the Founders Monument - another very modern edifice celebrating the life of Sheikh Zayed (an extra).  Back at the hotel later in our 'new' room - last night's had proved rather noisy with an air purifier starting up in the early hours.  

A busy day and likely to be repeated tomorrow.  Can't sit around when there's so much to see.
