Whiteout at the Toposcope Fort

I have to admit I was very sceptical when I saw the local forecast this morning which said that it would snow all day, but it was dead right. This morning we managed to dig the car out of Friday's snow and made it to the supermarket, so the birds don't have to worry about us eating their suet pellets.

In the afternoon I ventured out into the blizzard on foot and got as far as the Toposcope Fort on Beacon Hill. I last blipped this on 20th September. It was a very different sight today.
