A Fun Discovery

Do you know what you had for breakfast and dinner 30 years ago?  I do now.

Dear Diary,

I was cleaning off a bookshelf and discovered something, well two somethings really, that had fallen behind the books.  One was the menu from the Orient Express which I took in 1990 from a day excursion from London to Bath. (The other I will reveal tomorrow.) What a pleasant flash back on a snowy day!  The company ran what they called the British Pullman coaches on England only tours.  It is currently owned by the Belmond company.  I took another one to Kent to see Sissinghurst.  The trip would cost $550. today, pretty pricey.  I would love to take the train from Paris to Istanbul but at nearly $20,000 I think I will have to pass on it!
