Beached Boats On The Brue At Burnham

We just about made it in time to drop Sophie at school before registration closed this morning, having come across the aftermath of a road accident. Thankfully, nobody appeared to have Ben hurt but two cars had been badly damaged and the police were holding up traffic while they cleared the debris.

With Sophie safely delivered, we headed for Highbridge and walked along the estuary of the River Brue to the seafront at Burnham, where these boats were high and dry at low tide.

It was decidedly raw, if bracing, and I was happy to have a lazy afternoon indoors.
