Duck or Grouse?

No it's a Swan. A few miles from where I live is an old canal where people live on houseboats.I had hoped to take a picture of one for today's blip. Some are beutifully kept and others are in quite a state of disrepair. I was crossing a bridge over the canal when a swan decided it had a good run at taking off to clear the bridge...what it didn't reckon on was me crossing at that particular moment. I took a series of shots before it passed inches over my head. I could actually feel the downdraft from it's wings. The sound of swans flying has a unique sound especially when it's inches from you.

The houseboat blip will have to wait for another day now.
