What a great gallery the Hepworth is!

We went mainly for a special exhibition comparing the work of Henry Moore and (photographer) Bill Brandt. They knew each other and occasionally worked together. Their careers seemed to follow comparable paths and their artistic interests also seemed to overlap, despite the obvious differences in their chosen mediums. Really interesting with some great exhibits.

We also took a bit of a tour, looked after by a local artist who knew a lot about Hepworth. Fascinating.

They seem to encourage participation too, running regular practical workshops and make sketching materials to visitors, as you can see from my blip.

A great cafe too! A really worthwhile trip.
