Hermit Thrush

I see this bird so rarely that you can bet he'll be my blip when I catch sight of him! I know he's around all winter - but the times I get a glimpse of him are vanishingly few. I guess if I sat by my window and watched the birdseed rocks all day long I'd see him more often, but as it is - it's just a matter of dumb luck. One year - as I've said before - I actually saw two of them simultaneously. But most years I just see one. For all I know there are hundreds but they only put in appearances one at a time. HAHAHA! S/he'll be heading north by next month, I expect.
