After a blissful night's sleep  - thank goodness I'd packed earplugs as our room at the front was above the main road - we began a full on day's sight seeing.

The Palace of the Winds was followed by the Amber Fort, then lunch,  before shopping opportunities. The carpets were beautiful and yes, I'm bringing a small one home :-)

No time to return to the hotel to change and eat, which was why we'd eaten large earlier, before we arrived at the local cinema for the latest Bollywood production. Needless to say there were questions about the storyline to our Guide during the interval!

Indian road traffic has to be seen, and heard, to be believed as the horn is used almost constantly, there's no lane or even directional discipline. Horns seem to be used mainly to say "I'm coming through whatever!" I think the only reason we haven't seen an accident is because the speed in town is relatively slow!

The silver urn in the photo is one of a pair, or perhaps three, that once came to the UK full of holy Ganges water on the occasion of Maharaja Madho Singh II's visit to London 1902 to attend the coronation of Edward VII.
