A whole new meaning

This Bellbird gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'blowing a raspberry'.

When I was out with my grandson and his Mum on Saturday I took photos of a bellbird. I went back to the same spot this morning and photographed him again. Bellbirds are nectar feeders so have surprisingly long tongues, the tips of which are very fine brushes.

(Maori name: korimako - Anthornis melanura)
