Waving the flag

Up for an early breakfast at the hotel, went over to the car park to put our overnight bag in the car, and then walked up to Newcastle Art Centre. Good to see the Iron Man sculpture in the courtyard waving the EU flag!

MrM and I are doing a 2-day (today and next Saturday) course - Abstract Painting, large scale. It was great fun, we learned a lot, and produced three paintings each. It may be a while huge understatement before either of us comes anywhere near to producing a masterpiece though!

Afterwards, MrM drove us home where we had time for a quick meal before hurrying out to Etal, for a concert by the Hot Club du Nord - a good evening of gypsy jazz. By the time we drove home, storm Ciara had blown in, lots of water and branches on the roads.
