The sunny bit

We’ve been getting news of the storm and flooding back home and hoping everyone is safe and well. It sounds dreadful.

It’s been a mixed day of weather here but even in the rain it’s warm. We had a walk along the beach and back before breakfast and later headed for the sunbeds, where we got in a bit of a read before the heavens opened.

JJ is usually very careful about putting sunblock on his head but he seems to have failed miserably as the top of his head now looks like a bar code.

This afternoon we did a circular walk, across the beach, over the bridge and up the far side of the lagoon, then in through the security gate of the hotel. We did get rather wet in a heavy shower with nowhere to shelter, but what the heck.
