Lazy Sunday

I made this custardy banana chocolate cake this evening to mixed acclaim. I. said this one didn’t make the grade, D. refused to try, W. pronounced it quite good, and I think it’s passable. It’s not very sweet, so perhaps it’s not overkill to have cocoa alongside.

A surprisingly sunny day. I was happy to see some tulips coming up in the garden - in the fenced-in area, as our many deer love tulips.

I'm amazed learning about how the tornadoes in our little town are part of the same storm Ciara that's affected so many in the UK. An intensely powerful jetstream. Hope everyone who's experiencing it stays safe as it continues to bluster.
