First Day Delay

Start date put back to tomorrow by new manager due to unforeseen circumstances. I was quite relieved, as yesterday’s dramatics at the pub set me back with my first day preparations. I’ve spent my day reading this book on the industry - it gives a good insight, I feel excited but a little overwhelmed and anxious. I guess once I’m a few days and weeks into the job I will be fine. Anything new is scary at first and I guess it is how we grow. Heading out in the storm to do a 8-close shift at the pub. Again, not ideal - but I’m having to do my bit whilst manageress still away.
