A surprising find ..... in the house!

I don't know where it came from but resting against the wall in my bedroom here in Elie was this small tortoiseshell butterfly. I managed to take a couple of photos before the butterfly folded up its wings.

L managed to capture it in a bit of kitchen roll and then we opened the window and off it flew but I doubt if it would survive long in the cold weather.
