Stalking & Staking The Cabbage

We walked through the Jardim de Santa Barbara today. Here is the winter cabbage section, on the most interesting stalks I've seen. Just a matter of leaving them alone, I suppose. But they had some staking assistance too.
Took it with the iPhone and processed as a sponge painting. What may look like plastic or wooden support arches in the back are fifteen foot stone arches and hundreds of years hold.
