Kakariki is Green

This morning Maria the co skipper took me on another photo tour around the shore line of the Basin area we were anchored in.  Just the two of us surrounded by all the shades of green.  The shapes of the plants also fascinated me.  The rocks were also a strong feature.
Today's activities were cruising out to the edge of the sound to Anchor Island.  On the way we saw dolphins jumping.  Since 2005 the island has been a sanctuary for endangered  Kakapo.  It is completely free of introduced pests.  Our boots were scrubbed before setting foot on the island.  The bird life has increased and Robins, Yellowheads and Saddlebacks were seen.  It was very dark in the bush for photographs.  The divers went for a successful crayfish dive.  On trip back into the sound to our nights anchorage we paused to watch seals and pups.  The extra is a view of the many small islands in this area.
