Beech tree #4

We've had sunshine and blue splashes in the sky today. With the temperature very slightly above freezing the snow is subsiding - you couldn't really call it a thaw. I had to go out to the post box to send George's birthday card and I enjoyed being out in the fresh air. The side roads are still snow covered but the main road is clear. Maybe I'll get the car out and go further afield tomorrow.

The beech tree by our gate is a major feature of our environment and is a tree for all seasons.
