Rufous-bellied Seedsnipe

We drove - on our first birding day - up into the Andes to 14,250 ft - to look for this bird. It was cold and totally socked in with cloud - and we found it! It’s pretty big - 27 to 30.5 cm - but when it doesn’t move you’d be hard pressed to find it.

We found lots of other cool birds too. So much fun!
