Giacometti Lab ...

... adjoining the Giacometti Institute, which I visited today (the lab is for educational activities). The link features the exhibition I saw, "Giacometti/Sade: Cruel Objects of Desire" (a title obviously chosen for dramatic effect). The works exhibited are mainly from the artist's surrealist period--1929-34. Although elements of cruelty are present--e.g. in the classic Woman With Her Throat Cut--most are simply abstract.  Giacometti is one of my very favorite artists, and the Institute is an excellent venue for him (I visited it last year -- don't miss this link).
