Ice, mud or snow?

This is not a view from above, showing a brown lagoon inhabited by giant eels.
Just an icy puddle at the entrance to a field where cows grazed before they were, mercifully, taken under cover.
A good, brisk walk this morning was quite enjoyable! No more snow, so the wonderful van arrived with my online shopping! But the driver told me that two vans had to be pulled out of the ice and snow some twenty miles north east of here today.
And I've been working on my tax return - only 9 days to go before the deadline!
