Thursday: Garden Salad

It should have been a morning of indulgent crafting, sewing or stamping, maybe ... but I cooked chilli (vegetarian & con carne), moved things around the greenhouse in preparation for next storm, picked salad leaves, fed birds a few times, clothes washing, made red cabbage coleslaw ...

Salad leaves: Lamb’s Lettuce, baby beetroot leaves, pea shoots, Japanese mustard (very spicy!), self-sown parsley, baby spinach, Good King Henry, rocket, baby kale and cleavers which I’ve tasted for first time! It was very tasty :-))
Weather showery, cloudy and chilly.
MrD went to his Thursday meeting this morning then went back to the mainland for a swim.
