If you can't beat them...

Snow!

Our first real snow of the winter, there must have been a massive 3 cm possibly as much as 4 cm in the garden.  However it was thawing fast so off we went to find blips.  The first stop was Motherby only about 80m (260 ft) higher where the snow was crisp and not thawing.  This was one of my many shots from there.

We then moved on to the "old road" (I can't remember the A number but it certainly wasn't 66 it would be 5 something).  There we had good views of the Mell Fells and the mountains round Keswick with interesting layers of cloud/mist.

The conditions tempted us on to Keswick.  Sadly the snow petered out at Threlkeld. keswick  Undaunted we continued to Keswick, took a few shots down by the lake before coffee called, so we popped into the Lakeside café before heading home.
