Well it's been a busy day. Flying Scotsman to London at 5:40am - 4 hour journey of which I napped half. Met with DIT in Whitehall, hosted a round table with a bunch of tech folks and a few policy and government people in Westminster. Participated in a pitch event at City Hall this evening. No trophies from this one, but great to take part.
It's been fun to have one of those "who is in government today" days after a couple of months of stability. Sad to see Sajid Javid go as he has been a big supporter of the child safety agenda (although I don't think we've seen the last of him), but pleased to see Oliver Dowden step up from Cabinet Office to Secretary of State for Culture at a critical time in the development of the Online Safety legislation.
I'm now ensconced in my berth on the Caledonian Sleeper for the trip back to Edinburgh...
