This is what happens ...

... When South West Trains decide that they need to operate a special timetable because it's winter and it's snowed a bit. Of course a "special" timetable just means that there are less trains - in my case half the usual number, all slow trains.

The result is that as trains pull out of the station, like this one, they leave behind a platform full of disgruntled people who couldn't get on. But this is Waterloo, the start of the journey - so it is possible to wait 20 mins and hope to get the next train - pity the people who try to get on the train when it stops at Clapham Junction.

You see, the snow isn't really that bad, at least not in the suburbs, and everybody has gone to work as normal, but there aren't enough trains.

Hope other people's journeys have been less annoying than mine has today.
