Life through the lens...

Happy Valentine’s Day

These are our Valentine flowers.
Not a red rose in sight, but these beautiful tiny snowdrops picked from the garden.
Much more meaningful to us.

Some of our favourite food for tonight’s meal.
Peppered rump steak, ( see extra) and Gratin Dauphinois with green beans.
The dauphinois dish is a recipe I always use.
A version cooked by French Chef
Joel Robuchon and found in a cookery book written by Patricia Wells, entitled “ at Home in Provence”.
Followed by rhubarb and orange flan with
cream.
An Argentinian Malbec to drink with the steak,
And a sweet Greek dessert wine to have with the Pud.
Lovely way to spend Valentine’s evening.

I do hope storm Denis doesn’t do too much damage. My heart goes out to the people in the Calder Valley. Stay safe everyone.
