My current reading matter

As my asthma has been a nuisance today, the best thing to do was to sit quietly and read.Hunter Davies was born about the same year as me ,so his autobiography covers events known to me.He was born in Scotland, but his father's work took the family to the lake District for some years until the end of the war when he returned to Scotland. His first post was as a correspondent with The Manchester Evening Chronicle,an publication which I knew well.It is most interesting and brings back a lot of memories.
