Ros' chest still hurts but it's getting a bit better each day.
Of course there was a cloudy start to the day as we wanted to relax by the pool but the sun broke through later in the morning. Ros spent the day browsing her book the Lonely Planet piecing together an itinerary for the next four weeks.
At lunchtime I emailed Nathan at the Premier Classe Train office to see if the train was running next Tuesday. Unfortunately he came back with no news and said he'd know more on Monday.
The other residents at the hotel are a strange lot. Not one of them we saw by the pool would make eye contact or acknowledge us and there was certainly no way we could squeeze a good morning from them.
Later during the afternoon we went to STA Travel a South Africa office of the firm Ros uses back home to book flights etc. The young couple at the desk were very helpful with information on flights to see Victoria Falls in Zambia and packages to visit Kruger Park. Our conversation started to cement together Ros' plans but the starting  line needs to be confirmed by Nathan on Monday although the STA travel girl said she would not use the train as her brother was stuck on it in the middle of nowhere for a day when someone stole a section of the railway lines. Unperturbed we would prefer to use the train if at all possible.
With travel plans swirling in our heads we went back to Cloud 9 for a drink on the rooftop bar. The bar was heaving as it appeared to be the place to be on a Friday night. Eventually we found a spot to sit and got chatting to a couple who were not residents of the hotel and were therefore prepared talk to us,. He was British and had emigrated here twenty years ago and his new wife was Polish. They had just sold their house in Camps Bay and were going to live in Poland as his job working with underwater robotics could be based anywhere as he worked all over the world. By the time we'd finished chatting it was getting late and the local restaurants were heaving with no tables unless you'd booked. However we managed to find a less popular place where the food was still good with service at the speed of light. It's a good job we've learned not to order all courses at once and order drinks starter and main course as we need them if not then we'd have been finished and out in ten minutes.
