Monaco - Monte Carlo

Headed out on the train this morning. First stop: Eze sur mer where I had planned for us to walk up the hill to the village. I hadn’t remembered that it’s a good hour’s walk and that last time when I’d attempted it in flip-flops, I’d been scolded by a French lady: ‘Madame! C’est catastrophic’. Needless to say, we didn’t make it all the way up to the top today but did get some good views en route.

Back on the train to Monaco for a day of admiring the lives of the rich and famous. We had a tour around the city and enjoyed a beer in the sunshine.

Tonight we walked to Old Nice for Moules et frites followed by a delicious ice cream. Just lovely!
