Flooded Village

Mrs BB phoned me from work early this morning to say there was a lot of flooding locally. Storm Dennis has reeked havoc in South Wales (UK) and our village has been hit hard. The blipfoto's are taken a few hundred metres from our house and as you can see the houses are flooded, the flood defences breached. Even though we live 50 metres from the River Rhmney we are lucky as the land was raised much higher before building started in 1995.

The other extra shows the local park, two hundred metres away from our house, where the River Rhymney has burst the river bank and flooded the area.
