Loch Garry

We were on our way north to the Scottish Night Orienteering Championships at Findhorn and had hoped to go up a hill on the way. The beginnings of Storm Dennis meant it was decidedly wet at times (although nothing like as bad as in South Wales). The blip is just before we got to the top of Drumochter looking west towards Loch Garry as the rain came down and the snow melted. The rain stopped as we got to the Moray coast and the orienteering was held in dry but slightly windy conditions. Amazingly we kept dry feet and the dunes were very complex with the result that local knowledge seemed useful as many of the winners were from the local club.
