Câmara de Lobos

For our last full day on Madeira, we walked to Câmara de Lobos. Warm sunny weather again, and we enjoyed the steak sandwiches at a busy cafe before walking back to Funchal.

The walk is a bit longer than it used to be, because rockfalls have closed a pedestrian tunnel, necessitating a detour. We enjoyed this section, though, because a hotel manager on his day off stopped to talk to us and we learnt more about life on Madeira from a local perspective.
