Kingston upon Thames...the old Boots store!

This was built for Boots the chemists in 1909 and added to in 1929. Apparently 16 mock timber framed stores were built for Boots around that time, including Kings Lynn, Winchester and Derby. Typically they commemorate locally important historic figures or events. In Kingston the crowning of the Saxon Kings are commemorated with statues and plaques, as they were crowned in the nearby church.
The shop has had many uses after Boots it was Next, then Jack Wills and now recently Anthropologie.
